The Argonia Airport is open and maintained by the City.  The current runway is a grass runway.  For more information regarding our airport please contact the City of Argonia at 620-435-6553.

 

Argonia Community Center

 

The Community Center in Argonia provides space for many social activities.  The building is home to the annual Santa Day, Christmas Tree Lighting and many other events such as birthday, wedding, anniversary celebrations and much more.  To book your event call the City Office at 620-435-6417.  Deposit Fees are $50 and the event day is $150.00.  Tables and chairs are included with the rental.  Bathroom and kitchen area are available as well. 

 

Avenue of Flags

 

Every Memorial Day, over 150 Flags are raised at the Argonia Cemetery in memory of the many Argonians who have served in the US armed forces.  The Avenue of Flags is sponsored the "Argonia Avenue of Flags".  The Avenue of Flags are located at the Argonia Cemetery just east of the City of Argonia on US Hwy 160.

 

Dixon Township Library

 

Argonia's Dixon Township Library, located just west of Main Street at 120 W. Walnut, offers an excellent selection of non-fiction and fiction books, year-round reading programs, and story time for children. Books that are not available in the library's own collection can be procured through the Kansas state inter-library loan program. A public access computer with a high-speed Internet connection is available for online research and other needs.  The phone number to the Library is 620-435-6979.  Operating Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 1:00-5:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 1-6.

 

Floyd Memorial Chapel

 

The Floyd Memorial Chapel, located on the west edge of Argonia's cemetery, provides space for families to grieve and for small services. Public restrooms are available inside. 

 

Marty Harrison Field

 

The field is home to all of Argonia's little league games, and softball tournaments. Contact the Parks and Recreation Commission for more information. Their phone number is 620-435-6311.

 

Memorial Walkway

 

The Memorial Walkway provides a safe place for visitors and residents of Argonia to walk, bike, or run in a beautiful outdoor setting. At the sound end of the walkway is Argonia's River Park along the Chikaskia River

 

Pool

 

Located at 322 E. Garfield.  The City pool features an "L" shaped pool, diving board, water slides, basketball goal, lift chair, fenced off kiddie pool, restrooms with showers and a concession stand.

 

 

River Park

 

Argonia's scenic river park overlooking the Chikaskia River provides RV hookups, tent camping sites, picnic grounds, a bathhouse, and fishing access on the river. The park has picnic shelter houses, deck, picnic tables, a half-a-mile walking trail (part of the Memorial Walkway), public fishing access, and free WiFi.

 

Rates:

$20 - RV Full Hookups

$15 - RV Electric/Water

$400 - Monthly rate; Full Hookups Sites 1-16

$300 - Monthly Rate; Full Hookups Site 18-31

$5 - Tent Sites ~ If on a hookup site the cost of the tent is the same price as the sites listed above.

$5 - Dump Fee

$25 - Pavilion Rental (per day) Please call the City Office for availability for rental.  620-435-6417

 

Camping spots are available by reservation ONLY. For more information, contact the City of Argonia offices at (620) 435-6553 or (620) 435-6417. We look forward to having you visit our park!  Each year our park closes for the winter months.  Usually November 1st - March 1st, weather permitting.  Always call ahead and check availability.
